1. Who the controller is

SEO Local Madrid is the controller of the personal data you provide through this website.

2. What data we collect and where it comes from

We only process the data you give us. We don't buy databases and we don't obtain your data from third parties.

a) Free report form (on the contact page and the home page). We collect: name, email, phone (optional), business name, business website (optional), sector (optional), the area you serve and the message you write.

b) Audit pop-up. Collects email and business website address.

c) Direct communications. If you email us, message us on WhatsApp or call, we process whatever you share in that conversation.

d) Call booking. If you book a video call, the data is collected by Calendly under its own privacy policy.

e) Browsing data. Technical and usage data collected through cookies and measurement tools (see the cookies section).

To build the report we also consult publicly available information about your business: your Google profile, your search rankings and the content published on your website. We never access any of your accounts or private data.

3. What we use your data for, and on what legal basis

• Preparing and sending the local visibility report you requested, and answering your enquiry. Legal basis: your consent, given when you submit the form.
• Following up on that request and, where it fits, sending you a service proposal. Legal basis: your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to a commercial enquiry you initiated.
• Managing the contractual relationship if we end up working together. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
• Meeting legal obligations (tax and accounting). Legal basis: legal obligation.
• Measuring site usage to improve it. Legal basis: your consent to non-essential cookies.

We don't use your data for automated decisions with legal effects on you, nor for profiling to that end. The report you receive is generated automatically, but it is an analysis of your business's public visibility, not a decision about you.

4. How long we keep your data

• If we don't end up working together: we keep your request and the report for a maximum of 2 years from the last contact, then delete them.
• If you're a client: for as long as the relationship lasts and afterwards for the applicable limitation periods (generally up to 6 years for tax and accounting records).
• If you ask us to delete your data: we delete it immediately, except anything we're legally required to keep.

5. Who we share your data with

We don't sell your data and we don't pass it to third parties so they can advertise to you. We do work with providers who process data on our behalf so we can deliver the service:

• DreamHost — hosting for the website and the database where requests are stored (United States).
• Proton — the email service we use to send your report and communicate with you (Switzerland).
• DataForSEO and SE Ranking — ranking data services used to build the report. We send them business details (name, website, area), not your personal contact data.
• Google — maps and search data used in the report, plus site measurement (United States).
• Calendly — call booking, only if you choose to book one (United States).

International transfers: some of these providers are outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, the transfer relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or on an adequacy decision, depending on the provider.

We may also disclose your data to public authorities or courts where a law requires us to.

6. Cookies and measurement

This site uses first-party cookies that are necessary for it to work (for example, to remember your language or keep your session) and third-party measurement cookies from Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, which tell us which pages are visited and how people reach them.

Necessary cookies don't require your consent. Measurement cookies do, and you can block or delete them at any time from your browser settings. Bear in mind that blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.

7. Your rights

You can exercise the following rights at any time, free of charge:

• Access: find out what data we hold about you.
• Rectification: correct anything inaccurate.
• Erasure: ask us to delete it.
• Objection: object to us processing it.
• Restriction: ask us to keep it but not use it.
• Portability: receive it in a reusable format or have us send it to another controller.
• Withdraw consent you have given, without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal.

To exercise them, email info@seolocalmadrid.net stating which right you want to exercise. We'll reply within one month at the latest.

If you believe we haven't handled your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es), the supervisory authority in Spain.

8. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data: an encrypted connection (HTTPS) across the site, restricted access to request data and storage of submissions in a folder that isn't publicly accessible. No system is infallible, but if a breach affected your data we would tell you and notify the supervisory authority where required.

9. Minors

This site is aimed at people representing a business. We don't knowingly request or process data from children under 14. If you find that a minor has given us data, email us and we'll delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the services we use or the applicable rules change. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with its update date. If a change affects you significantly, we'll tell you.
